Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how RENDERED (“we”, “us”, “our”) collects, uses, and shares information when you use our website and services. We aim to collect only what we need to deliver and improve the Service.

1. Information We Collect

Account information. When you create an account, we collect your email address, username, and a salted bcrypt hash of your password. We never store your plaintext password.

Order information. When you make a purchase, our payment processor (Stripe) collects your name, billing address, and payment-card details. We receive only a transaction reference and the billing email — never your full card number.

Generation inputs. The place name and any photo you upload are stored with your job record so we can generate, deliver, and let you re-download your poster. Photos are processed by Google’s Gemini API and are not used to train AI models.

Usage and technical data. We log your IP address (for rate limiting and abuse prevention), browser type, and basic request metadata. Content-filter blocks (when the system rejects a prompt or photo) are logged for fraud and abuse review.

Cookies. We use a single HttpOnly session cookie to keep you signed in. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.

2. How We Use Information

• To create and manage your account.
• To generate, deliver, and let you re-download your poster.
• To process payments and send order confirmations.
• To send transactional email (password resets, order receipts).
• To enforce rate limits, prevent abuse, and protect the Service.
• To comply with legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.

3. Service Providers We Share Data With

We rely on the following third parties to operate the Service. Each receives only the data necessary for its function:

• Stripe — payment processing. Subject to Stripe’s privacy policy.
• Google (Gemini API) — AI image generation. Photos and prompts are sent to Google’s API for inference. Subject to Google’s privacy policy.
• Vercel — application hosting and serverless function execution.
• Neon — managed Postgres database hosting (accounts, jobs, audit logs).
• Vercel Blob — file storage for generated previews and final zip downloads.
• Resend — transactional email delivery (password resets, etc.).
• Cloudflare Turnstile — bot detection on generation endpoints.

4. Data Retention

We retain account, order, and job data for as long as your account is active and for a reasonable period afterward to comply with tax, accounting, and legal requirements. You may request deletion of your account at any time by emailing colby.ray@hyportdigital.com. Some records (financial transactions, abuse logs) may be retained longer where required by law.

5. Security

We use industry-standard measures to protect your data, including TLS-encrypted transport, bcrypt password hashing, HttpOnly session cookies, and signed download links. No system is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

6. Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export your personal information, or to restrict or object to certain processing. To exercise any of these rights, email colby.ray@hyportdigital.com from the email address on your account. We will respond within a reasonable timeframe.

7. Children

The Service is not directed to children under 13 (or the equivalent age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

8. International Users

The Service is operated from the United States. By using the Service, you understand that your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States, which may have different data protection laws than your country.

9. Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be announced on the site or via email.
